Your go-to for theatre for young audiences that is: smart, approachable, artistic, and FUN!

Hey there!

A story as unique as its characters...

We met in South Korea in 2012, working as Edutainers at Gyeonggi English Village (now English Musicals Korea), where we honed our skills as actors and creators. In Korea we performed in 11 shows together, and since returning to the U.S. in the summer of 2014, have continued that pattern, with our joint contracts in the double digits. We've also launched our own TYA company WhatFun! Theatre, which strives to bring quality family friendly productions to communities around the country. As both performers and creators, we pride ourselves on providing not only a quality product, but a quality experience, bringing our positivity, can-do attitudes, open-minds and hearts, and spirit of blissful collaboration to every process. While we do accept separate projects, we truly believe we are #bechertogether, and prioritize joint contracts. We hope you enjoy a glimpse into our little world.

"Bobby & Ashley are collaborative, creative, prepared, organized and passionate." -Daniel DP Sheridan; Artistic Director Junior Theatre INC.

and we're off -

always a wild ride!

-2019 was a crazy year!

  • We started off directing, music directing, and composing original music for Aesop's Falables at Davenport Junior Theatre.

  • We spent the spring in sunny Florida, performing in Second Chances and School House Rock LIVE! at Broadway Palm.

  • Summer brought us back to the Quad Cities and introduced us to Circa '21 where we both performed in Holiday Inn, and Ashley directed and choreographed The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs. We also taught summer camps back at Davenport Junior Theatre.

  • Bobby finished out the end of the summer in his first show at Cortland Repertory Theatre, reprising his role as Sam Phillips in Million Dollar Quartet.

  • We celebrated our 2 year anniversary in NYC!

  • September through December, we were honored to be back at Prather's Dutch Apple in Lancaster, PA performing in The Will Rogers Follies, Honk!, The Snow Queen, and Holiday Inn! We also had the opportunity to teach a few workshops and host in the new year!

-WhatFun! had an incredible year as well!

  • Our new musical:The Biggest Big Race, the story of the Tortoise and the Hare, saw it's premiere in New Hope, Alabama.

  • Little Theatre on the Square produced Rapunzel in the Wild West, and The VERY Different Duckling

2020 has obviously been crazy in a different way!

This spring we were both supposed to be returning to Circa '21! Bobby rehearsed all the way through one day of tech for Saturday Night Fever. Ashley cast both Grace for President  and Seussical as Director and Choreography, but both productions were postponed, and this summer we were scheduled to be appearing as Lumiere and Babette in Disney's Beauty and the Beast!

But the universe had other plans...

We're both currently available for contracts! If you're interested in collaborating with us as performers, creators, or educators, send a message here!
